Discharging sewage into water sources not at the right positions or coordinates specified in the permits; or not complying with the regimes and modes prescribed in the permits will be subject to a fine of VND 100 – 120 million. It is one of the regulations on administrative sanctions in the field of water and mineral resources that the Government has just issued. According to Decree No. 36/2020 / ND-CP, such acts do not comply with the reporting regime for discharging sewage into water sources; failing to report in time in case of incidents of water pollution caused by acts of discharging waste water; failing to report truthfully and fully on activities of discharging sewage into water sources to competent agencies, a fine of VND 5 – 10 million.
One of the violations of the provisions of the license to discharge wastewater into water sources will be fined from VND 120 – 130 million, such as: Collecting wastewater not in accordance with the design according to the provisions of the license; operation systems of wastewater treatment improper operating procedures under the provisions of the license; failing to prepare manpower, equipment and equipment necessary to cope with and overcome incidents causing water pollution; arbitrarily letting other organizations or individuals discharge wastewater into the wastewater collection and treatment system invested, managed and operated by themselves in contravention of the license.
Acts of discharging sewage into water sources with pollutant content in excess of the limits prescribed in their permits shall apply sanctions according to the regulations on sanctioning of administrative violations in the field of environmental protection, and at the same time applying a fine of from 10 to 15 million dong, deprivation of the right to use permits to discharge waste water into water sources for 3-6 months, forcing the application of measures to overcome pollution, deterioration and depletion of sources country.
